So you missed the royal wedding?  That was a heck of a debut – they waited for the right window when the sun was shining and all the pre market efforts came together in a beautiful ceremony that I couldn’t help but see as pricing above the range.  I only got to see it on TV and have to admit my eyes were more on Pippa.  Are you long or short Prince William and Princess Kate (anyone know the Royal family last name)?  Is their success a portent of good things to come for Pippa?  And how is that all related to IPO Trends?  Thought you would never ask. ...

Ahead of the Bell: Dow futures are trading down 36 points and S&P futures are trading down 4 points.  Investors will focus on the Federal Reserve and its quantitative easing program due to expire in June. Traders are expecting the Fed to delay raising interest rates until 2012, following yesterdays weak housing and manufacturing data.  Investors will be watching for developments in the Euro zone sovereign debt crisis, hoping central bankers from the region will agree on a bailout package for Greece. ...

This morning, in a much anticipated debut, LinkedIn launched into the public markets. At our listing breakfast, Reid Hoffman, founder, said "It takes a Network" to create a world class organization. The stock opened at 83 on 2.17mm shares after pricing last night at 45. They are adding a million users a week from around the world on their platform, and just debuted into a sophisticated market of global investors. Scarcity drove an exciting open, the likes of which we have not seen in tech for nearly a decade. ...
