Semapa’s successful bond issue

Semapa issued a 6.85%, 3-year maturity bond in March aimed at retail investors and investors flocked to the offer. After just one week, the initial €150 million was fully subscribed. The company decided to double the offering to €300 million – and again, the issue was oversubscribed with more than 12,000 investors eventually buying Semapa bonds. NYSE Euronext in Lisbon centralized the offering and presented its results during a special ceremony on 28 March.

One-stop shop for IPO candidates

NYSE Euronext has teamed up with several players to help prospect companies prepare for a listing. The objective is to organize a “one-stop shop” where each prospect can engage with a team including NYSE Euronext, a legal advisor and a financial advisor or listing sponsor to deal with all a company needs to do in order to list on the stock exchange. The initiative also increased the scope of commercial efforts of all parties with a more systematic approach.
