On Thursday, in a strong bipartisan vote of 73-26, the U.S. Senate passed the JOBS (Jumpstart Our Business Startups) Act, which would make it easier for small businesses to raise capital and go public. The bill, supported by President Obama, passed the House earlier this month with overwhelming bipartisan support on a 390-23 vote.

The Senate action paves the way for final enactment of the JOBS Act; the House is expected to approve the final version as early as next week, which then would be sent to the President and signed into law.

NYSE Euronext has been very active in supporting the bill, and we want to recognize the bipartisan leadership of the House and Senate in joining together to move this important bill forward.
