The 4th annual Investor Relations Awards

The 4th edition of the Investor Relations Forum sponsored by NYSE Euronext brought together on 24 November the Investor Relations and Financial Communication managers from some one hundred companies listed on the NYSE Euronext regulated market. The forum began with a broad debate on "Corporate social and environmental responsibility: Empty words or real element in investment decisions?"

A ceremony awarding the best Investor Relations practice followed, honoring investor relations managers based on a survey of financial analysts by SFAF (French Financial Analysts' Association) and IR-intelligence.

The winners were:

Social and Environmental Responsibility makes gains

The 4th annual Capitalcom Barometer published last October reveals a greater awareness of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) among large French companies, despite the financial crisis. Increasingly reliable indicators and integration into an overall progressive strategy are among the signs that CSR is becoming a major focus for the executives of large listed companies. One of the sticking points identified: social responsibility performances are still rarely taken into account in executives' and managers' bonuses.

The five companies recognized by Capitalcom in 2011 for their CSR performance are France Télécom-Orange, Danone, GDF Suez, AXA and Schneider Electric.
