Duane Reade Flagship Store on 40 Wall Street Opens

Duane Reade and Walgreens visited the NYSE to celebrate the recent opening of the 40 Wall Street Duane Reade flagship store. In honor of the occasion, Joe Magnacca, President of Duane Reade and President of Daily Living Products and Solutions at Walgreens, rang The Opening BellSM.

The 22,000-square-foot, 24-hour Duane Reade store is one of the most innovative locations boasting an "up market" focus, from its health care, food and beauty offerings to exclusive services and amenities never before seen in a Duane Reade or any other drugstore.

Qualified medical service will be on-hand with the company's signature, no-appointment-required "Doctor On Premises" service that provides convenient, affordable and quality health care, along with Duane Reade's first pharmacy "Powered by Walgreens Pharmacy Network." The new system will link to Walgreens pharmacy system, the largest pharmacy network in the U.S.

Other New York City conveniences include a 20-foot official NYSE in-store ticker, the award-winning LOOK Boutique, a Sushi Station featuring a chef and full menu, The Juice Market, a Coca-Cola “Freestyle” machine dispensing 130 varieties of Coca-Cola fountain drinks, a nail salon, and a hair salon by Phyto Universe, among others.
