Ahead of the Bell: Dow futures are trading up 49 points and S&P futures are trading up 5 points following gains in the previous trading session, after the Federal Reserve said it will keep short-term interest rates exceptionally low for the next three years.  The central bank is lowering borrowing costs in an effort to shore up growth and stabilize financial markets, despite improving signs in economic data and corporate earnings. The agency said it stands ready to implement another bond-buying program if the recovery stalls.    ...

Breakfast Bites: Today is all about jobs as the change in non-farm payrolls came in adding more workers to the payroll than forecast in December increasing by 200,000 and bringing the unemployment rate down to 8.5%. We do have to factor in seasonality and temporary retail hiring for the holiday season but on the surface this number is positive. That being said, the markets are mixed this morning. ...
