Opening and Closing Bell on Wall Street
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital visited the NYSE to help raise awareness for the lifesaving mission of St. Jude. In honor of the occasion, Chief Executive Officer Rick Shadyac and Patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital rang The Closing BellSM.
Over the past 22 years, dedicated members of the Wall Street Community have raised over $32 million for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at the annual Wall Street’s Taste of New York” event which will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at Pier Sixty, NYS. Funding from the Wall Street initiative has benefited a wide variety of research and treatment efforts at the hospital including the brain tumor program, pediatric HIV/AIDS research and the naming of the Infectious Disease Research Floor in the Chili’s Care Center on St. Jude’s campus.
For the 3rd year in a row, NYSE Euronext held its annual Floor Broker Charity Trading Day, a fund-raising event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which took place on November 4, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. On that day all net transaction fees on orders executed by floor brokers in NYSE and NYSE Amex securities were donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
