April 30, London: Financial Literacy workshop run by Junior Achievement/Young Enterprise in London

Tuesday 30th May saw NYSE Euronext host 52 Young Enterprise Scheme students from four different schools around London. The day was designed to give the students an insight in to the Financial Services industry as well as encouraging them to think about their goals (both short and long term).

The 10 NYSE Euronext volunteers were assigned a group and were encouraged to present their own individual life maps detailing the decisions they have made and path that they have travelled to get them into their current positions as well as looking forward to where they want to go from here. This sharing of work experience and knowledge gave students more clarity around the fact that the decisions that they make now can affect their future,...

April 17, New York: Financial Capability Steps into the Marketplace

In partnership with the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI), our live-webcast session featured four of the twelve finalists of the FinCanDev competition, a nationwide, $100,000 challenge to develop new mobile apps to help working Americans make smart financial choices and get better access to financial services. Through this competition, fully functioning, high-impact apps will be brought to market and available for consumers to use. The forum also featured a panel focused on the innovative work our Listed Companies are doing to promote improved financial access and capability for underserved consumers.

On Tuesday, April 16, at NYSE Euronext, as part of our Financial Capability week, we rang the Opening Bell to celebrate a new initiative we launched to promote Workplace Financial Fitness.  As a company, when we looked at where we think we can have the greatest impact and are uniquely positioned to make a difference, the workplace became the focus of our corporate financial capability efforts.
