Opening and Closing Bell on Wall Street
On Tuesday, April 16, in celebration of Financial Literacy Month, leading experts from NYSE-Listed companies, the government and academia will converge at the New York Stock Exchange to participate in NYSE Euronext's Workplace Financial Fitness Forum, a discussion on the important role that employers can play in improving the financial fitness of their employees.
"Providing support for employees' financial fitness in the workplace is good for employees - and for companies.," said Michelle Greene, Head of Corporate Responsibility at NYSE Euronext. "Given our position at the nexus of so many of the world's leading companies, we feel a special responsibility to promote workplace financial fitness. Through our own initiatives and through partnerships, we are working to provide resources to our companies to help them in their efforts to improve their employees' financial well-being. We believe this can help our companies and, at the same time, help individuals and families in our communities build more secure financial futures. "
Participants in the Forum include:
Dr. Annamaria Lusardi, Academic Director of the Global Center for Financial Literacy at George Washington University "
Matt Fellowes, Founder and CEO of HelloWallet, a leading provider of web-based tools that employees can use to set and reach their personal financial goals. "
