Raising Money for the Restoration of New Orleans

To promote awareness at this giving time of year, The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans visited the New York Stock Exchange to ring the NYSE Closing Bell.

In addition, The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans is hosting a celebration in New York City to raise money for the restoration of New Orleans homes and neighborhoods. At the January 12th fundraiser, the PRC will present the 2012 Citizenship Award to Rebuilding Together and the National Trust for Historic Preservation for their contributions to the restoration of New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Since Katrina, the PRC has restored almost 350 homes and the total value of the restoration projects is almost $10 million.
