Office Depot Foundation Visits the NYSE to Celebrate Commitment to Caring

On Wednesday, December 19, executives and guests of the Office Depot Foundation – the independent, non-profit foundation that serves as the primary charitable giving arm of Office Depot (NYSE: ODP) – will celebrate its commitment to caring with a visit to the New York Stock Exchange.

To mark this special occasion, Mary Wong, President of the Office Depot Foundation, will ring The Closing Bell.  Special guests will include children from PS 279 Herman Schreiber School in Brooklyn and Leo F. Giblyn School in Freeport on Long Island, both of which were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

To commemorate the visit, the Foundation will donate a number of its special Teddy B. Caring commemorative stuffed bears along with sackpacks containing essential school supplies to PS 279 Herman Schreiber School and Leo F. Giblyn School.  Sales of Teddy B. Caring bears in Office Depot stores nationwide support the Office Depot Foundation’s programs and initiatives to serve children, families and communities around the world.  The sackpack donations are part of the Foundation’s signature National Backpack Program, which has helped more than 2.9 million children since its inception in 2001.
