Opening and Closing Bell on Wall Street
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will open its doors the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally NYSE Kids Day, to the children and families of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®), a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation dedicated to creating and supporting programs that improve the health and well being of children. The NYSE will host the children and their families for a day of food, entertainment and activities.
Linda Dunham, Board Chair, Ronald McDonald House Charities, joined by RMHC children and their families, will kick off Kids Day by ringing the NYSE Opening Bell.
-Through a network of 320 Ronald McDonald Houses, 173 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, 48 Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles and RMHC Chapters in 57 countries and regions, RMHC helps children heal faster and cope better, as well as reduces the financial burden for families and hospital partners.
- 90 cents of every dollar spent by the global office of RMHC is used to fund RMHC programs around the world.
-RMHC helps improve the health and wellbeing of children around the world, by relying on strong partnerships with the medical community. In fact, children being cared for at over 78% of the world's top children's hospitals have access to at least one RMHC core program.
-To ensure RMHC families find strength through a far reaching network of support made up of local RMHC Chapters, staff, volunteers, donors, advocates, and other families fighting alongside them, 37 percent of RMHC Chapters are expanding their programs to support even more children and their families.
