The Dutch baseball team's victory is a welcome, early gift to the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball League, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2012. Rounding off the jubilee year, the 2012 European Cup Championships will be held in the Netherlands, giving the world title holders an opportunity to show their supporters at home just how good they are.
