Marc is responsible for Asia-Pacific client services and business development matters in New York, assisting and advising listed companies on NYSE and SEC compliance matters while helping them achieve their strategic objectives regarding investors, customers, branding, and media in the US. He also advises companies considering a US IPO or quotation listing, as well as banking, legal, accounting, private equity/venture capital, and investor relations professionals that advise such companies, on strategic and technical matters with respect to listing with NYSE Group. While based in New York, he has periodically traveled to Japan, Korea, Australia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and India.
Marc has been a speaker/panelist on US capital markets issues at professional and academic forums in the US as well as in the Asia Pacific region. He writes a blog, Asia Pacific Markets, sharing insights, experiences, and practical advice among those within and interested in the Asia Pacific issuer community.
Marc previously held attorney positions, including Trial Counsel, at the Enforcement Division of the New York Stock Exchange, where he investigated and prosecuted allegations involving insider trading, sales practice deficiencies, and other violations of NYSE and SEC rules and regulations. Before that, he was Assistant Deputy Public Advocate at the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate, protecting the public interest on rate and environmental issues arising from resource recovery, sanitation, water, and nuclear power.
Marc attended Austin College, and has a B.A. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. He also attended a masters program in public policy analysis for one year at the University of Pennsylvania. Marc was raised in Bay View, Brooklyn and Woodland Trails and Jersey Village, Houston.
