Judith (Judy) C. McLevey

Position Title: VP, Corporate Actions & Market Watch

Judy assumed responsibility for the NYSE’s Corporate Actions & Market Watch team in September 2008.  She has been actively involved in governance and proxy matters at the NYSE for many years, including most recently organizing and managing the NYSE’s Commission on Corporate Governance, Proxy Fees Advisory Committee, etc. 

In her role at the NYSE, Judy oversees the Exchange’s proxy rules and also has responsibility for administering the Exchange’s Timely Alert Policy, which includes working closely with issuers to determine the materiality of pending corporate news and its potential impact on trading.  Judy’s team is also responsible for dividends and corporate actions notifications, serving as an information gateway between issuers, brokers and the vendor community on these matters and how they may impact trading.  

Previously, Judy was a Managing Director in the Global Corporate Client Group.  She managed the Exchange’s relationship with companies headquartered in New England, Westchester County and Upstate New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Delaware.  Judy and her team oversaw the on-going client relationship with companies in this region as well as efforts to attract new listings. 

Prior to assuming her client relationship role, Judy managed the NYSE’s Listings Compliance and Corporate Governance area for five years.  Judy began her career with the NYSE in the Finance area, analyzing the Exchange’s consolidated financial statements and handling related special projects. 

Judy joined the NYSE in December 1987 after having worked in finance and accounting at CBS, Inc., Paramount Pictures Corporation and Exxon Corporation.

Judy is an Officer of the Connecticut/Westchester Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and a member of NIRI National, the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, the Shareholder Services Association and the Securities Transfer Association.

Judy graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.  Judy also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Fordham University.
