Every trading day the gong is sounded in Amsterdam to mark the opening (9.00 am) and closing (17.30 pm) of the trading session.
Villa Pardoes sounds the gong to highlight the ‘Goed Geregeld’ award it recently won.
The ‘Goed Geregeld’ award celebrates the fact Villa Pardoes is a well-organised volunteer organisation. Villa Pardoes is a holiday home in Kaatsheuvel for children who have serious and life-threatening diseases. The organisation gives the sick children, their parents and brothers and sisters the opportunity to set aside some of their worries and spend a week in the holiday home free of charge. Villa Pardoes is an independent foundation that relies entirely on donations. Sayen Leijenhorst, who is seven years old and a junior ambassador for the organisation, sounds the gong.
