Every trading day the gong is sounded in Amsterdam to mark the opening (9.00 am) and closing (17.30 pm) of the trading session.
Today NYSE Euronext welcomed BTG Pactual (ticker code: BTGP), Brazil’s largest investment bank, to NYSE Alternext in Amsterdam.
To celebrate the new listing, Steve Jacobs, Partner of BTG Pactual, sounded the gong which marked the closing of trading on the Amsterdam exchange. Steve Jacobs:"The listing represents a consolidation of our history as well as an important step for us in the capital markets."

Their market capitalization totals € 6.2 billion. Today 181 companies are listed on NYSE Alternext.
