Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is Here

Macy’s celebrates 85th Anniversary Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. In honor of the occasion, Amy Kule, executive producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, rang The Opening Bell.  Ms. Kule will be joined on the bell podium by Santa Claus, as well as costumed characters Felix the Cat, representing the parade's first-ever character balloon and Babar, a long-time parade favorite.

The 85th Anniversary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade can be seen live in New York City and on NBC on Thursday, November 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.  The star-studded cast includes: Rodney Atkins; the Big Apple Circus; Mary J. Blige; Joba Chamberlain; Cobra Starship; Neil Diamond; Michael Feinstein; The Fresh Beat Band; Cee Lo Green; Avril Lavigne; Shelby Lynne; Mannheim Steamroller; China Anne McClain; Scotty McCreery; Ingrid Michaelson; the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street; Savannah Outen; Power Rangers Samurai; Daniel Radcliffe and the cast of Broadway's How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying; Miss America 2011 Teresa Scanlan; cast of Broadway's Newsies; cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert; cast of Broadway's Sister Act; cast of Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark; Straight No Chaser; U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club; Johnny Weir; and Zendaya.


More than 3.5 million people line the streets in New York and more than 50 million tune in nationwide to watch the giant helium balloons, unique floats, celebrities, performers, clowns and marching bands.
